St Barnabas Moonlight Sleepwalk

On Sunday June 16th, around 600 people took to the streets of Lincoln in their pyjamas at midnight for the Moonlight Sleepwalk, created to help raise money in aid of the St Barnabas Hospice.

The approximate 6-mile route started and finished at the Yarborough Leisure Centre. The event also passed the Brayford Waterfront, Lincoln Cathedral and the St Barnabas Hospice on Nettleham Road.

To keep with the sleepwalk theme, the participants all complete the walk wearing their pyjamas. These range from traditional striped pyjamas to a variety of ‘onesies’ ranging from furry animals to funky patterns!

Organisers estimate the event raised around £30,000 for the charity, with sponsorship going directly to patient care.

The hospice cares for Lincolnshire residents and their families who are living with a life limiting illness. The St Barnabas Hospice itself needs to raise over £3 million a year to carry out the services it provides though, so please donate and take part in as many events as you can.
