We continuously review our processes, our products, our packaging and our supply chain to ensure we are as ‘green’ as possible. We’re proud of what we have achieved so far, but are committed to doing even more.
In 2026, we introduced 2 new recycled products to our eco-friendly & sustainable range. These include 100% Recycled Sublimated T-shirts & 100% Recycled Pin Badges. As we approach 2027, we’re continuing to explore other sustainable alternatives for our customers to bring to life at their events.
We were the first to supply 100% Recycled Zinc Medals in 2024 & continue to push for sustainability to be an industry standard.
Our 95% recycled medals were introduced back in 2000, when we expanded our supply chain. Since 2000, our sustainable medal range has expanded to 100% Recycled Zinc medals, Eco-friendly Wooden Medals, and as of 2025, our Seeded Paper Medals.
In 2023, we updated our ribbons, which are now made using non-toxic inks. We offer recyclable heat transfer and RPET yarn – produced from recycled plastic – versions.
We have launched a partnership with a Local Recycling Business, which allows us to take back any metal medals which may be left over from your event and ensure they are put to sustainable use.
We have been, and continue to take steps in reducing unnecessary plastic in our packaging. Our bespoke medals used to come packaged individually in plastic, whereas we now group medals in bulk, wrapped in tissue paper.
Our packaging is sourced, manufactured and recycled using renewable energy. We seek to reuse packaging, which comes to us from our suppliers.
To lower our carbon emissions, we encourage all our customers ordering bespoke products to opt for sea freight delivery over air freight. By communicating with our customers via our website, phone calls, emails & social media, we can make customers aware of the lead times on sea freight, allowing them plenty of time to order in time for their event.
We have a dedicated member of staff who works hard to ensure we group our sea shipments accordingly to fill full 20ft/40ft containers fortnightly rather than LCL (Less than container) daily.
All our Freight forwarders are a member of the clean cargo strategy – an organisation to reduce unavoidable global goods movements.
We want to make sustainability accessible to any event, no matter the size. With the help of our FREE design service*, we encourage our customers to design a medal that can stand the test of time. By not including dates or years onto your medals, it means you don’t waste any extra finisher medals, making them reusable for every year after the event & more cost-effective for the customer. Instead of adding dates & years to the medal, we recommend changing the ribbon design every year to reflect the differences.
Overall, we’re working to achieve a closed-loop process, which minimises waste, reduces emissions caused by transportation, cuts energy usage and maximises recycling, with an aim of ensuring that nothing goes to landfill.
In 2024, we installed 220 solar panels to our HQ, which will significantly minimise our power use.
We also upgraded all our Powder Fire extinguishers to New P50 Foam Extinguishers , these are both sustainable & recyclable, and highlights our commitment to eco-conscious solutions throughout our business.
We have recently upgraded from a 2 pillar SMETA Audit to a 4 pillar SMETA Audit which includes (Labour Standards, H & S, Environmental performance and Business Ethics, this underpins our commitment to ensuring our factories have the appropriate policies and procedures in place.
We continue to upgrade our HQ technologies & domestic appliances to be more energy-efficient, including recycling old computers, switching our lights to LED & training our team on recycling practices in the workplace.
We aren’t stopping here, our investment into sustainable products & practices continues, and our research into how we can become more eco-conscious never stops.
