The Wigan 10k medal is our Medal of the Month Winner for July 2014!
Their inaugural event was a huge success last year and we’re sure this year’s race will be even better.
This is especially due to yet another brilliant Bespoke Medal for all of the lucky finishers.
The Wigan 10k medal is a large 80mm medal depicting the statue of Sir Francis Powell. Sat in his chair he appears deep in thought amongst other features of Mesnes Park in Wigan.
The race sets off from Wigan town centre at 10.00am on September 7th 2014, starting and finishing there.
All runners and spectators are encouraged to remain in the town centre once the run has finished too.
The Market Street will host the main stage, where an awards ceremony will take place for 1st, 2nd and 3rd-placed runners.
A family fun zone is to be created in the space directly in front of the main entrance to Wigan Library.
Not only that but a beer tent and hog roast will also be located in the town centre.
