Lincoln based company Running Imp are proud to be the Official Medal Supplier to the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon for the first time.
Having worked closely with London Marathon Events for over 10 years this is the first time that the company has been appointed the prestigious contract in addition to being the Official Contractor for timing clocks.
The Running Imp Event Timing Team work alongside Official Timekeepers and are responsible for the set up and operation of 49 clocks throughout the famous 26.2 mile course. The team of 21 will head out from the Lincoln headquarters on Saturday to set up the clocks from 3am, in time for the wheelchair athletes to start off the day at 8.55am on Sunday 22nd April. At 10.00am, marking 110 years after the 1908 Olympic Marathon was started in the grounds of Windsor Castle by the then Princess Mary, Her Majesty The Queen will start the 2018 main event from the same place with the elite men leading a field of 40,000 runners of all ages and abilities. Participants will follow the route past some of London’s most iconic landmarks, crossing the finish line in The Mall where they will be handed their fully bespoke finishers medal.

An additional team of staff from the company will also be exhibiting for the fifth year in a row at the Virgin Money Giving London Marathon Exhibition in the ExCel Centre from Wednesday 18th April – Saturday 21st April.
