Running Imp are absolutely delighted to announce that our Bespoke Medals division is now the official medal supplier to the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon.
First ran in March 1981, the London Marathon is one of the world’s most prestigious running events taking in iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge and the London Eye. With the next race taking place on Sunday April 22nd 2018, we simply cannot wait to produce the medals that will reward the incredible achievements of thousands.
Although we’re official medal supplier and producing the finishers medals for the first time, Running Imp have enjoyed a close bond with the world-class event down the years. It all started when our CEO Chris Illsley commentated at the 1998 London Marathon and earlier this year, we became the marathon’s Official Contractor for the Timing Clocks. The famous event relied upon us to set up and operate 55 clocks throughout the iconic 26.2-mile course.
Celebrating our 30th Anniversary on 28th January, this news is the latest in a long line of exciting company developments that have marked a fantastic year. In recent months, we relaunched our Running Imp company logo while unveiling our new-and-improved Bespoke Medals website.
Also Running Imp became a sponsor of Lincoln City FC’s 2017/18 away shirt and donated the very first City United Trophy too. With brand new Running Imp and Bespoke Medals signage for Jubilee House, our Head Office in Lincoln and to be awarded the finishers medals for the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon, it certainly is exciting times for our company heading into our 31st year in business.
