This month, we’ve lined up four contenders for the 2017 October Medal of the Month Competition.
We’ve had some fantastic entries including some spooky-themed creations, vote on our Facebook page to have your say! The winner will be announced on Tuesday 14th November.
In the meantime, here’s a bit of information about our contenders! Have you got a favourite?
A – October 100 Mile Challenge, Awesome Virtual Running Events
Produced in the Shiny Gold Enamelled style, the 75mm 100 Mile Challenge medals have a spooky theme to them this month, making them particularly eye-catching!
To have earned a pumpkin-themed medal, teams or individuals will have needed to run a total of 100 Miles throughout October. The running could take place in any location, as long as the 100 miles were completed by the end of the month!
B – Oxford Half Marathon, Virgin Sport
The Oxford Half Marathon medal was produced in the Antique Silver Europa style, with the curved edges making the medal look particularly sleek and stylish.
In order to win one of these medals, participants needed to run 13.1 miles through the City of Oxford and the surrounding countryside, against the backdrop of the River Thames.
C – Trick or Treat Run London, Human Race
The medal for this run had a special Halloween twist- it glows in the dark! Produced in the Antique Silver Glow in the Dark Enamelled style, it was definitely a medal to run for (or from!).
Trick or Treat London had its participants running through Southwark Park in London – in their finest Halloween costumes! People had the option of taking part in the afternoon run with spooky surprises, or the evening run which featured a glow in the dark after party, all whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Care.
D – Zombie Run, Naomi House and Jacksplace
The medal for the Zombie Run was another spooky one, produced in a Sprayed Black Glow in the Dark Enamelled style, featuring plenty of bats!
The 3km Zombie Fun Run took place at the Beaulieu Motor Museum through the woods, with plenty of scary surprises along the way.
